Delightful Links and a Little Update on Me
Hi friends!
Thank you so much to all of those who prayed for me and left encouraging words during my down time a few weeks ago. I have not been sick to that extent in a long while and it was tough! I'm so thankful for my sweet mother-in-law who took the kids for me so I could rest.
I stayed in bed for most the week.
Not something a mom gets to do very often!
I'm feeling much better now, but am still taking it easy.
I do plan to tell you more about my illness and how I got to a place where it was possible for me to get that sick. It will take me a while to get that post ready. But I think it will be helpful once it's done.
I'll be taking this week off from the internet. That sounds funny! But, really, not looking at a computer screen is a vacation of sorts.
There are a few posts scheduled to run here, but I won't be online until the weekend.
I had some time this week to do a little crafting and make some pretty things for my home. It was fun and somewhat therapeutic. I've been thinking about that quote above and do feel that beauty is an important part of life. Not in a superficial sense, but rather, an appreciation for God's goodness and the stunning world her made for us to live in.
I made this herbal wreath with my mother-in-law.
Tutorial coming soon.
A few good links for you to peruse:
Blogelina is offering her 4-week online blogging class for free. I've heard great things about these classes, plus all attendees get a 60 page class manual and a year of web hosting at no cost. Worth a look if you want to learn more about blogging.
Have American parents got it all backwards? @ Huff Post Parents – Definitely thought provoking.
Homemade natural baby ointment @ Frugal Granola – Looks easy!
A new kind of sexy @ Red and Honey – An amazingly raw and real (yet inspiring) post.
