Getting ready in the morning is a tedious task. Between waking up early, getting dressed, and making breakfast, it can take hours to get everything done before you're finally out the door. But there's no need to panic- we've got your back! Today we're sharing some quick and easy tips that will help you put together an outfit in under half an hour each morning.

#1 Shower when you have the most time

The first thing you want to do when getting ready in the morning is taking a shower, but you can save some time by doing it later at night. If you're rushing around and trying to get dressed quickly in the morning, there's no way that taking a long shower will be beneficial- plus, who wants icky dirty hair?

If this isn't possible for your schedule or preferences (maybe you like showers at night), try waking up early enough so that instead of hopping right out of bed and into the bathroom, maybe spend 15 minutes drinking coffee with breakfast before taking on these next steps! After all, Sleeping Beauty wasn't known for her fashion sense.

#2 Keep your beauty routine to a minimal

Hopefully you aren't one to sleep in full makeup or with wet hair, but if this is the case, then we're sorry! Makeup application takes a long time and can be frustrating when wake-up calls are going off all over your house. If possible, try taking it easy on yourself by sticking to a minimal routine– perhaps some mascara and lip balm for the day?

With regards to washing your face at night, make sure not to keep any extra steps before hitting the hay so that you save as much time as possible for morning getting ready.

For those of us who do wear makeup every day (or even just like an occasional swipe), keeping things simple will help cut down significantly on how long it takes you each morning.

#3 Don't get distracted with your closet

We can almost guarantee that if you don't plan out what to wear in advance, it will take forever for you to pick an outfit. So instead of spending time rifling through all of the things in your closet and drawers, make a list (or Pinterest board) before bed the night before with pictures or descriptions.

This way, when morning comes around, you'll be able to pull together something nice without any trouble! As another bonus tip- combining neutral tones is always easier than trying to match bright colors. This means more outfits from fewer clothing items, which will save you money too!

#4 Pack your things the night before

Nobody likes rushing around in the morning trying to find their keys, wallet, or phone. So the best thing you can do is pack your things before bed so that when you wake up, all of the items are sitting right beside your purse/bag, ready for use!

If these quick tips helped save some time getting ready each morning, then we're glad- and if not, then hopefully they were at least interesting to read about!

Quick and easy breakfast ideas

There are so many quick and easy breakfast ideas out there that can help you prepare a healthy meal in under half an hour. Whether you like oatmeal, eggs, or yogurt, there's something for everyone. We've compiled a list of our favorites below!

Overnight oats – these are great because you can make them the night before, and they're ready to go when morning comes around. Just put all of your ingredients in a mason jar (or any container) overnight, and then grab it on your way out the door each morning!

Chocolate protein pancakes – while this may not be considered healthy by some standards, we consider chocolate anything to be an exception, especially if it tastes good too. To get started, all you need is two scoops of vegan chocolate protein powder mixed with one banana mashed until smooth, half cup oats added into batter followed by water until mixture reaches desired consistency, and finally cooking in a pan with coconut oil.

Egg muffins – while these are time-consuming to make the night before because you have to sauté each ingredient separately, they can be cooked all at once in an oven which is nice if you're making breakfast for more than one person! All ingredients should be combined into muffin tins that are greased with olive oil spray (muffin tin size depends on how many eggs you wish to serve), baked until golden brown around 15 minutes, depending on your oven.

#5 Wake up a bit earlier

If you're not a morning person, then this one might seem impossible, but if there are things that you need to get ready before work or school (like coffee), it's worth waking up an extra half hour early.

Benefits of waking up early

Waking up early comes with many benefits, which is why so many people make it a point to get up before the sun. Some of these include: getting more exercise (and therefore better health) because you spend extra time in your day exercising/running errands, and having serenity and quietness that spawns creativity for writing or drawing. Other benefits also include spending quality time with family members while everyone else is still asleep – this could be eating breakfast together each morning or simply taking some alone time to read a book without distractions from social media etc. Lastly, being able to accomplish tasks uninterrupted by anyone else's schedule besides your own is also a pretty fantastic reason to get up a bit earlier each morning!

#6 Stay simple with your hair

If you're short on time but still want to look good for the day ahead, then follow these simple hair tips! First, put your hair in a low side braid- this will take only minutes, and it tames unruly strands that stick out. Second, apply dry shampoo before bed so that when morning comes around, you can just brush your fingers through it (no need for water), and voila!

Thirdly, curl two-strand twists overnight by simply sectioning off pieces of damp or wet hair, applying styling cream/gel, twisting each section up towards the scalp until they form small loops at the ends, fastening with an elastic band before going to sleep. These tips can be used for different hair types and textures, so find what works best for you!

Other quick and easy hairstyle ideas

There are loads of other quick and easy hairstyle ideas out there for anyone who has short on time but wants to look good while still getting things done. If you have wavy or curly hair, all you need is a little bit of sea salt spray (be careful not to overdo it because too much can leave your locks looking greasy!), a hair diffuser to get those curls looking bouncy and stylish, and hairspray that will keep the style in place without making your hair crunchy all day!

For straight-haired girls, simply wash with warm water rather than hot so as not to damage the strands. Next, apply styling cream/gel followed by blow-drying until smooth before applying flat iron if needed. Just be sure to remember that heat protectants should always be applied beforehand, no matter what type of heat tool is used!

#7 Have breakfast in the car

I'm not a huge fan of eating on the go as it can impact digestion quite significantly. That said, we all live in the real world and sometimes that is not feasible! If you're one of those people who have only a little bit of time to get ready each morning, then this might be the eating in the car may be necessary for you. If you are going to do that, it's best to choose a breakfast that is fairly easy to digest, like a smoothie. All that is needed are your favorite smoothie ingredients (for example, spinach, kale, banana, almond milk, flaxseeds, etc.), a shaker cup, and protein powder. Just throw everything in there and blend it up before heading out the door, and voila- breakfast on the go without spending too much time getting ready!

Other quick smoothie ideas

A green smoothie filled with spinach, kale, and avocado is an excellent choice for those who are pressed for time because it takes five minutes or less to make (that's including cleaning up afterward) yet still tastes delicious! Other quick smoothies include mango banana which only has two ingredients; strawberry cheesecake that can be made in under ten minutes using frozen strawberries (or any other berry you like), vanilla yogurt, milk of your choice, and graham crackers crumbs.

There are many more ways to get ready quickly, so if these don't suit your needs, then feel free to experiment until you find what works best for you- the most important thing is not getting stressed out about how much time goes into looking good each morning!

Develop a morning routine that includes things you enjoy doing, such as taking time to read the paper while drinking coffee. If getting an early start isn't exciting for you, then try adding some excitement into it by watching a funny video clip before leaving home or planning something fun and different for after work. The possibilities are endless, so get creative with it!
