Let’s Chat. . .{and a video}
I am so thankful to all of you who stop by and read here. Many of you leave sweet comments and ask questions.
You encourage me greatly.
It is nice to know there are many women out there who are very much like me. Sharing the same struggles and joys each day. All of us striving to be better, while seeking grace and contentment in the here and now.
Many times I wish we could all sit together at my table, sipping tea and eating something good.
So today, I want to share a few random things I'd tell you if we could do just that.
I'd love it if you would let me know how you are, too.

First of all, check out this lovely video my sister-in-law made for me:
Isn't it great? I'll be adding it to my about page as soon as I can.
- Yesterday, I sat holding my sick two year old for most of the day. I also let her sleep in our bed. She slept and slept, so I was able to gaze upon her chubby little face and be thankful for the blessing she is to me.
- I like to hold my babies. . . a lot! In fact, I remember sitting in the glider holding my son when he was just a week or two old. My mother-in-law (who was was staying with us) went out to get groceries. When she returned, I was still in the same place, holding, rocking, and gazing. I'm pretty sure I'll never regret those hours. Ever.
- Today, that same baby is seven years old. He drank two cups of herbal tea with me. Can I tell you how happy that makes a tea drinking mama?
- My oldest daughter, who is now 10, helped me make beeswax candles this afternoon. Helped me is actually not correct, since I put the wax on to melt and gave it to her in a cup to pour, she did the rest. It is truly a joy when your children catch a similar passion to your own. It's fun to work together on projects that please both of you!
- The kids and I made felt Christmas tree ornaments on Friday evening. In stark contrast to the above moments, it just about killed me! I can't tell you how many times I had to thread needles and explain, “No, it is not messed up. It is still good. You're doing great.” I honestly wondered why I had the bright idea to undertake such a project. Oi!
- I've been working hard on my ebook and am hoping to release it this Wednesday! It's going to be on super sale for the first 24 hours. So make sure you are signed up for email updates or are following A Delightful Home on facebook to get the details.
I can’t wait for your ebook…is subscribing via RSS the same as getting email updates? I don’t want to miss it! 🙂
Oops, yes. I forgot to add that option. But yes, any way to get updates will work.
Thanks for your support!
Love the video! She did a great job capturing the essence of your blog.
Thanks Jasmine. I think she did d a great job too!
Beautiful video!
I love love love to hold my babies too. I held all 4 of my babies a lot, much to the dismay of lots of people who told me they would turn out “spoiled”. I have never once regretted it. I even wore them around in slings and carriers most of the time. My youngest will is about to turn 3 and she is not tolerating me wanting to hold her so much anymore. She’s got places to go, people to see…no time for sitting in mama’s lap anymore.
I’m looking forward to the ebook!
Thanks Carmen.
It’s fun to hear that you like to hold your babies too. They do eventually outgrow it! Those three year old definitely have things to do, don’t they?
I LOVE your new video – it’s beautiful!
I also loved reading about all of your interactions with your children. You are such a sweet person, Stacy. You’re somebody that I look up to and admire!
Thank you sweet Mindy 🙂 You are always such an encouragement to me.

I just love, love, love that you love to hold your babies!!! You are such a wonderful Mom and I’m so happy when I hear young Mom’s really love and enjoy these precious gifts that come from God.
Thank you Stacy for being such an example to others. You really do remind me of the Proverbs 31 woman!
Can’t wait for you book. So proud and so amazed at how you balance it all!
You are too kind to me, Gayla! Thanks so much for your kind encouragement.
