Rose and chamomile are great for the skin and the senses.

Adding these herbs to the bath takes bathing to a new level. The herbs infuse the water, nourishing the skin. The scent of the herbs fills the air as the steam escapes from the water, making this an aromatic experience as well.

For a light scent, place 1 tablespoon of each herb on a circle of fabric. Fold up the sides of the fabric and tie with a ribbon. You can see this demonstrated in this post: How to Make Bath Bags.

For a stronger scent, and more soothing bath, use a muslin tea bag.

rose chamomile and epsom salts

In the bag put:

  • 1/4 cup each roses and chamomile flowers
  • 1/2 -1 cup of Espom salt (depending on how large your tea bag is)
  • Optional extras: organic powdered milk, ground oats – both are soothing to the skin

Sew your own bath bags or purchase muslin bags from Amazon or Mountain Rose Herbs.

Make one or two to give alone (or include with another body care item) or make 5 or 6 and place in a large jar.

Roses and chamomile flowers are just and example, many other herbs and flowers would work just as well. Lavender is lovely in bath bags!
