Introducing: Always Eat After 7pm (Why I chose this diet book)

As many of you know, I had a rough couple of months with some health issues that led to significant weight gain. I feel uncomfortable in my body, and low in energy.

Needless to say, I want to do something about that. But as you know, losing weight and regaining your health is not always easy. Traditional dieting definitely does not work for me, so I am embarking on something a little different. First of all, the title caught me by surprise, since so much advice these days tells you to stop eating early in the evening. The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good.  

Over the next month I’ll be sharing about my experience with this book and the program. My goals are to lose weight, gain energy, and balance my blood sugar. 

As I began to read the book, I was excited to see the author discuss including all macronutrients. I have been discouraged to see so many diets cutting out entire macronutrients and my personal experience has shown me this isn’t a helpful practice for most. Joel says,“Fact is, most diets are extremely narrow with regard to food choices and variety, and many even limit entire macronutrients altogether over the course of the entire program (think low-carb and low-fat diets). Three months with no carbs? No thanks. Such practices not only are entirely unnecessary, but make for a miserable, unsustainable experience.”

Losing the extra pounds, keeping my energy up, and improving my overall health is a top priority and one I am excited to accomplish without sacrificing an entire macronutrient group! I’ll share about my progress over the coming weeks.
