Peppermint Foot Scrub Recipe
Foot scrubs are a real treat for tired feet.
When made with salt, they are extremely effective at exfoliating the dry skin around the heels and balls of the foot. This helps remove dead skin cells and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth.
Besides softening and smoothing skin, a foot scrub also invigorates. The scrubbing action helps release tension and leaves feet feeling more relaxed, yet curiously energized.
How to Make a Peppermint Foot Scrub
This recipe is from my eBook, The Body Scrub Bible .
Ingredients
- 1 cup fine sea salt or Epsom salt
- 1⁄4 cup oil (grapeseed, sweet almond or olive)
- 10 drops peppermint essential oil
- 1 tablespoon dried peppermint leaves (these make it fun, but could be left out if needed. If you don’t have any dried peppermint on hand, break open a peppermint tea bag).
- 1 half pint jar
Method
Measure salt into a clean bowl.
Add oil and stir until it is distributed evenly.
Add peppermint leaves and essential oil. Stir again. Scoop into a clear jar and label.
Do not use on broken skin or skin that is windburned, sunburned, or otherwise irritated.
Scrub will last for 3-6 months.
