DIY Dry Shampoo Recipe for Light and Dark Hair
If you'd rather not wash your hair every day, you'll most likely need to develop a relationship with dry shampoo.
Dry shampoos are readily available nowadays, but most of the ones you'll find on store shelves are full of endocrine-disrupting chemicals. It's best to avoid these whenever possible.
Making your own dry shampoo is easy. In fact, it will only take you a minute or two.
To make your own dry shampoo, you will only need a few ingredients (from one to four, depending on your hair color and preferences).
An old spice jar is a great option for storing and dispensing homemade dry shampoo. If you don't have any handy, Mountain Rose Herbs carries some lovely glass spice jars with shaker lids. You could also make your own with these fun shaker lids suitable for mason jars.
Another option is to store in a small glass jar and apply with an old make-up powder brush.

Bentonite clay is used for many other skin care applications, including face masks, so it's worth having some on hand! Click here to read more about the benefits and uses of Bentonite clay.
